The New Jersey Down Syndrome Aging Study is exploring how the brain changes with age in adults with Down syndrome. By participating, you can help researchers better understand healthy brain aging and Alzheimer’s disease while contributing to discoveries that may benefit future generations.

Participants and caregivers will be compensated for their time and additional compensation is available for transportation as needed.

Who Can Participate?

Person with Down Syndrome

You may be eligible if you:

  • Are 20-years or older adult with Down Syndrome.
  • Live in New Jersey or nearby areas.

Participation May Include:

  • Fun memory and thinking games.
  • An optional blood sample to measure Alzheimer’s-related biomarkers.
  • Optional brain scans and physical examinations.

Family Member or Caregiver

You may be eligible if you:

  • Are a family member or caregiver of a 20-years or older adult with down syndrome who is participating in the study.
  • Live in New Jersey or nearby areas.

Participation May Include:

  • A conversation / questionnaire regarding the participant.
